ABOUT US

Welcome to Huatulco Tacos Food Truck, a cherished family tradition established in 1998 right here in the heart of Paso Robles, CA. The Huatulco Tacos story begins with Ofelia and Moises Gomez’s deep-rooted passion for authentic Mexican cuisine and a dream to share their flavors with the community they now proudly call home.

New to San Luis Obispo County, Ofelia and Moises Gomez established their roots in the Paso Robles area with their two oldest children (1998).

When they first set up their taco truck, Paso Robles was a growing town, and they saw an opportunity to bring something special to their neighbors. “We consider ourselves pioneers in the Mexican food truck industry in Paso Robles… We were the first Mexican food truck that started in 1998 as we saw our town expanding… we knew with all this construction there had to be some hungry construction workers, and from there, we rotated from route to route up and down Paso Robles always serving our delicious food.” Their early days were filled with hard work and determination, but the smiles and satisfaction from their customers made every effort worth it.

As their family grew, so did their business. In 2004, they took a significant step by opening their very own commissary market in Shandon—La Salsa Market. This new venture allowed them to deepen their commitment to serving fresh, high-quality ingredients and expand their reach even further across the North County. From local events and parties to the Paso Robles Farmers Market, the family has been delighted to share their authentic flavors with an ever-growing community.

The name "Huatulco" is a tribute to the family’s roots in Oaxaca, Mexico. It’s a reminder of their homeland and a symbol of their mission to make every customer feel like part of their extended family. As the Huatulco Family continues to serve up delicious, real Mexican food, they strive to ensure that every visit to their truck is a true celebration of flavor. As they proudly say, "Una verdadera fiesta de sabor (La Salsa Market, 2004)."
